Green color with dark purple inside. Here are some better Pics. http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh156/ggolbs/seashell021.jpg http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh156/ggolbs/seashell026.jpg It's been suggested that the green color is from algae dyeing the shell. upon close inspection I do not feel this is the case. so if i bleach it and it's still green, what does that mean? it's some rare defect? i kinda like the color but i will try it on one and post results. thank you for your response paul. |

I dipped half of shell in clorox bleach for around 30 seconds. shell did not change color. |

I have found that sometimes the algae penetrates the shell and bleaching does not always get results. Try leaving it in the bleach for a few hours. |
