The Conchologists of America (COA) will host their 2008 Convention in San Antonio, Texas; tentative dates are July 5 through July 10, 2008. This will be the first time that San Antonio has hosted the event.

I am on the COA planning committee for the 2008 convention. If anyone wants more information on the COA 2008 Convention, please ask.

COA 2007 will be from July 28 to August 5 in Portland, Oregon. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend   .

COA this year starts on the 1st and not on the 28th!! However dealers are going to be there from 28th I reckon. I will arrive on the 29th. All the best, see you there

The convention (in-hotel) starts on the 1st of August, but the registration begins on the 29th (I was off by one day), with field trips scheduled for the 30th and 31st. Read all about it here (you'll need Acrobat Reader):

Frankly, I don't know why the "official" dates never take field trips into account; they're still COA events. But this seems to be convention tradition. Maybe its because the majority of the trips (wine-tasting, visit to Mt. Hood) have little to do with conchology...I don't pretend to understand.

I'm trying to design the flyer for COA 2008...any ideas?

I really want to go to COA`s 2008, if somebody has a room for rent there could be a very good help, I`m a 2 years ago collector from Mexico, very interested to know how a convention works. And I need to buy some beutifull species.
